Over 100yr Old Journal Handmade Art Diary Photo Album

This journal is made from a photo album from the late 1800s. It has a worn but lovely velvet cover that's a very pretty burgundy color. It is beautiful as a piece of art, a journal, a diary, photo album, scrapbook, etc.

On the front cover is a antique cabinet card in the frame and is removable. The flower band that is tied on the front is a wedding headpiece from the early 1900s. The velvet flowers are cream colored due to age but are in great condition. It is a removable piece should you want to remove it. The fur at the edge of the journal is authentic mink. It is from the early 1900s and were remnants from an old coat of the time.

Each page is unique inside. I photographed a few of my favorite pages but there are many more! There are tags within the journal for writing spaces and blank pages for you to add your own pictures, book clippings, etc. There are pieces of antique and vintage ephemera throughout the book. A half dozen vintage style clips adorn the top to hold additional items. This book is wider at the opening because it is full of beautiful papers and vintage ephemera. The more you add, the wider and more interesting it will become!

The book is roughly 10.25"x8.5". At the opening it is roughly 3". The journal can be displayed laying down as the pictures show or it will stand on its own upright.

The inside cover of the book at the beginning of the binding is not connected. (See last photo) It it still held together by the front cover. It did not happen during the making of the album, it had to have happened years and years ago due to the color of the unattached fiber that was there.
